zezpaik

A small statically-typed language that compiles to native code through LLVM. One code base, one portable emission route through C, one platform API - and no garbage collector, ever: a compiled program is one self-contained executable.

Programs

Programs built with zezpaik, each described in its own terms.

What it is for

zezpaik is for programs of the size a person can hold in their head: integer computation, files, text, sockets, pictures, a window. It has nineteen words in its vocabulary, no macros, no function pointers, no exceptions, and no managed runtime. A dependency a program chooses is linked statically where its licence allows, so the program that runs on the developer's machine is the program that runs on the server.

Windows x86-64 is the default target, and --target linux-x86_64 emits an ELF object for Debian. A cross build stops at the object because the link belongs to the machine that will run it.

These programs are where the language is tested in public. Six examples, each linking to the program that uses it:

About this site

This page is generated by a zezpaik program and served by a zezpaik web server over HTTPS. The program list is a file, not a folder scan: a program is shown here only when it is named for publication.
